Dr. Thayssa Rodrigues was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and moved to Florida in elementary school, proudly calling herself “Florida grown” ever since. Her journey to becoming a dentist was inspired by her personal experience with hypodontia, a condition that caused her to be born without two permanent front teeth. After restoring her smile as a young adult, she discovered firsthand how life-changing dental care can be. That transformation sparked her passion to help others feel confident through dentistry.

She earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Florida Atlantic University, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Maryland. Dr. Rodrigues brings a strong foundation of scientific knowledge and clinical skill to every appointment, but what truly sets her apart is her warm, relatable approach to care. She loves meeting new people, building long-term relationships with her patients, and educating families on how their oral health connects to overall wellness.

At Legacy Dental of Apopka, Dr. Rodrigues combines her personal dental journey with professional expertise to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment. Her goal is to make every patient feel heard, respected, and empowered, never rushed. She especially values being able to take the time to explain diagnoses in a way that's clear and compassionate.

Outside the office, Dr. Rodrigues enjoys family time with her husband and their two-year-old son, often making fun memories at local theme and water parks. She also enjoys the company of her three dogs and loves getting outside for walks and fresh air.
